This is the story of Nascar legend Junior Johnson. Jeff Bridges smirks and grins his way to the checkered flag. Lots of racing action, but also a surprisingly solid story, and complex characters. Valerie Perrine shakes it well as the Georgia peach pit-slut with a heart of gold. This is a classic American movie. Have a couple of cold ones ready and get ready to yee-haw.
