A man crippled from a suicide attempt finds a crew of ragtag friends at a local bar. Great story about loneliness, depression and the power of friends. John Savage rules this movie.

Quickie Synopsis

Interesting note: One of his bar cronies is Harold Russell. The actor is a double amputee that won an Oscar in the 1947 for his portrayal of a returning soldier in "The Best Years of Our Lives".
